The dinette is versatile: it can be converted into a comfortable single bed with (optionally) a second bunk above it. The upper bunk is rather narrow for a full-sized adult but useful for a child or an occasional overnight guest. Without its bedding it also makes a handy extra work surface for use while cooking.
